Sorry to see that almost nobody uses these sights. They are very helpful and fun! I suggest getting in touch with fishing and gun clubs around the area so more people can benifit from this information.PLEASE dont stop doing this!!!Oh, and tell your boss I said you should get a raise!

Review By: AnonymousButterfield Lake

Butterfield lake offers a variety of fish species as well as fishing spots. It has solid rock bottoms, grass and sand bottoms, as well as rock face cliffs to fish. Though I have not caught and huge bass from this lake, I have had a splendid time catching bass (large/small mouth) from 2-4 pounds. I do recommend to boaters who have never navigated this lake to research and study the lake maps before venturing out because there are some shallow spots out in the middle that you want to avoid hitting.

Walked this with our 4 year old daughter, 7 year old daughter and 60 year old parents... It was a great hike for the 6 of us.  Challenging but still do-able.  We finished in under 2 hours and rode the gondola down.

Review By: PaulTwo Jack Lakeside Campground

My wife and I stayed here for a while. This is an amazing spot which feels somewhat isolated even though it is not far from Banff. Our campsite was on the waters edge with stunning views of mountain peaks and the bright green water of the lake. I would go back here given the opportunity.

Be cautious if you are unfamiliar with this water. There are a number of rocks, fast moving current and the odd dead head.

Review By: PaulConstance Lake

Being a small lake, it is canoe friendly especially on windy days where larger lakes and the Ottawa River are difficuly to fish. I spent countless hours paddling the shores while being able to get back to the city very quickly.

Excellent attractions embeded within an authentic fishing village. Great hospitality. I posted a photo of a fish and chips restaurant wharf wraps. I highly recommend it!

Excellent fun and enjoyment during a hot day. The walking trails are long... taking a canoe is a good alternative. Make sure the kids are supervised. Highly recommended.
